Aziz Ansari announces 'Buried Alive' tour, coming to Raleigh

South Carolina born comedian and star of the hilarious NBC show Parks and Recreation is hitting the road on a big stand-up tour this spring/summer dubbed the Buried Alive Tour which will make a stop in the Triangle.

He will perform at Meymandi Hall at the Progress Energy Center in Raleigh on Thursday, June 21. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 31 via Ticketmaster for $39.

Ansari recently used the Louis C.K. business model and released an hour-long stand-up special available exclusively via his website for $5. Check out a clip from the special below.

Daniel Tosh announces spring tour, coming to Durham for two shows

Daniel Tosh, the snarky comedian and host of Tosh.0 on Comedy Central, will hit the road this spring on a stand-up tour which will bring him to the Triangle for not one, but two shows.

Tosh was originally scheduled to perform one show at the Durham Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, April 11, but after tickets sold incredibly fast, a second show was added. A few single seats currently remain for the 7 p.m. show and there are quite a few seats left for the new 9:30 p.m. show.

Tickets are available via the venue box office or Ticketmaster for $39.50 to $69.50. Kyle Kinane will open the shows.

Greg Proops coming to Raleigh for three night in February

Comedian Greg Proops, who is most known for being on the old improv comedy show Who's Line Is It Anyway?, is touring in early 2012 and will come to the Triangle.

He'll appear at Goodnight's Comedy Club in Raleigh for five shows on February 23-25. Tickets are just $16 on Thursday, February 23 and $20 for the shows on February 24 and 25. They're available HERE.
